| We offer a wide variety of
HVAC products and services: Heat Pumps The beauty of a heat pump is that it pumps heat two ways, providing heat in the winter and air conditioning in the summer to keep you comfortable all year long. Heat pumps are rated by SEER: Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating. These range from 13 to 18. While it may seem like the higher the SEER, the better, that is not always the case. The right SEER for your home requires the consideration of many aspects, and may not always be what you expect. Heat pumps are the most efficient form of heating system, so they lower your bills. They are also really good for the environment. And, because they are so environmentally friendly, certain heat pump systems can get you tax rebates! We at Stilly River Mechanical, Inc. recommend Coleman equipment.  Years in the industry have shown us that this brand is the best value for the customer. However, sometimes we recommend Goodman equipment. While we prefer these brands, that doesn't mean that we don't sometimes use other brands. It just depends on the situation.  For

Geothermal Heat Pumps Geothermal heat pumps use the energy from the earth (or sometimes water in lake) to heat the home. See, the sun heats the earth, and then the system uses the heat in the earth (or lake) to help run the system. Okay, it's a little more 
complicated than that, but you get the idea. Stilly River Mechanical, Inc. is one of the few local companies that is fully qualified to sell, service, and install geothermal systems. We are even PADI certified divers. Being certified divers and owning dive equipment enables us service and install submerged  geothermal systems without the added cost of hiring a professional diver. Furnaces/"Clean & Service" As mentioned previously, we sell mostly, but not exclusively, Coleman products. Furnaces are pretty basic, so instead I'll take this opportunity to remind you that your furnace needs a "Clean & Service" once year. At Stilly River Mechanical, when you buy a system from us, we will give you the first year's Clean & Service for free. You wouldn't run your car out of oil, or not get Fido his rabies shot, so you should keep your heating system happy too. Without annual cleaning, the efficiency of your furnace goes down, sending your monthly heating bills up. And since a Clean & Service is usually less than $100, you end up paying more than you would have by just having the system cleaned. So take care of your system. Have a Clean & Service. Air Conditioners We do sell Air Conditioners, but rarely find a situation where we can, in good conscience, recommend one. Most often, a heat pump will be a much better investment. For more on that, scroll up. Water Heaters We also sell and install Water Heaters, including Rinnai Tankless Water Heaters, which we highly recommend. These water heaters are instant, have very long life span, and are energy efficient, saving you money.
